“I would like to let you know just how effective we have found our recent radio advertising campaign! We have always placed specific job ads in the New Zealand Herald but wanted to get a better awareness advertising campaign targeted at a more appropriate audience.
We first began advertising on the radio with a standard spoken ad in July. The ad was aired in short “bursts” for a few days only each month. The first month we were very excited and had an acceptable response rate taking 3 or 4 calls a day from interested job applicants. In August the pattern repeated. You then put our little jingle together and we had a great response in September! We took 58 calls in the week we advertised! October was better – 70 calls over a week – GREAT! What is also interesting is that we now regularly get calls during the weeks when we are NOT on air – applicants phoning up saying that they have heard us on the radio!
